River Reports

Gunnison River

Updated 6/22/19
Status: Runoff is here!
Details: Flows on the Gunnison are high- 4260 cfs as of today. Water is brown, our reccommendation is to find clearer water to fish but if you do fish the Gunnison, streamers and heavy nymph rigs with larger flies will be most effective.

Black Canyon

Updated: 6/22/19
Details: Flows as of today are 1140 cfs- Stonefly hatch is nearing it's end, look for golden stones next!

East River

Status: Runoff is here!
Details: look for fish in slower moving pools and streams. Hatchery ponds on the East river are a great still water option.
Suggested Patterns: squirmy worm, fastwater prince, flashback pheasant tail, white streamers.

Taylor River

Updated 6/22/19
Details: Flows have increased to 636 cfs out of the dam. This provides a new opportunity to fish larger flies such as pat's rubber legs, princes, and smaller patterns in brigher colors such as hot spot pheasant tails.
