Josh Richard

Hometown: Bentonville, Arkansas

Guide Experience: I have been guiding fly fishing professionally since the spring of 2016. I’ve guided in Colorado on the Upper Colorado, Big Thompson, St. Vrain, Arkansas, and Gunnison rivers and I’ve guided in Montana on the Yellowstone, Madison, and Boulder rivers.

Fishing Experience: I caught my first trout at the age of four under the guidance of my Dad, an avid fly fisherman. As a young man I continued to follow my passion for fly fishing and rivers by earning a B.S. in Environmental, Soil, and Water Science from the University of Arkansas, working in the field of river ecology for the state of Arkansas and the National Park Service, and guiding whitewater rafting and fly fishing in Tennessee, North Carolina, Washington, Montana, and Colorado.

Hobbies: Fishing, hunting, skiing, boating, and rock climbing.

Favorite Thing about Guiding: Passing on the knowledge I’ve dedicated my life to learning to help anglers of all abilities see the river differently, bend rods, and have a good time doing it.
